THE SCOUT HOUSE WELCOMES YOU
ABOUT THE FALLS CHURCH SCOUT BUILDING ASSOCIATION:
Since 1939, the Falls Church Scout Building Association (FCSBA) has served the youth of Northern Virginia as a dedicated center of youth education. The historic log cabin (known as the "Scout House") was planned, designed, funded, and built by local donors and volunteers who exemplified the principles of scouting. Generations later, this private entity is operated by a Board of Directors who maintain the same values and spirit of volunteerism as their predecessors. For additional historical perspective, see the history page. Today, the FCSBA continues to serve a variety of user groups, including scouting organizations, youth groups, educational entities, and other community organizations.

MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of the FCSBA is to provide a meeting place for area youth groups in order to benefit youth, promote the scouting movement, foster civic responsibility, and develop ethically sound leaders who are resilient, conservation-minded, and dedicated to citizenship and public service.

The FCSBA holds spring and fall workdays to provide User groups and Volunteers the opportunity to contribute to grounds and facilities maintenance. Please contact the Board for more information.

SERVICE PROJECT (EAGLE, GOLD, STARS & STRIPES PROJECT) IDEAS:

The Scout House and grounds have many opportunities for Scouts planning service projects; if the FCSBA is not an appropriate beneficiary for a project, the Board may be able to provide alternative recommendations.
