SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:
SCOUT HOUSE WORKDAYS:

The FCSBA holds spring and fall workdays to provide User groups and Volunteers the opportunity to contribute to grounds and facilities maintenance. These workdays are named in honor of Board Member Emeritus Barry Buschow, who made significant contributions to the FCSBA during more than 20 years of service. Please contact the Board for more information.

SERVICE PROJECT (EAGLE, GOLD, STARS & STRIPES PROJECT) IDEAS:

The Scout House and grounds have many opportunities for Scouts planning service projects; if the FCSBA is not an appropriate beneficiary for a project, the Board may be able to provide alternative recommendations.

GIVING OPPORTUNITIES:

DONATIONS:

The FCSBA has operated as an all-volunteer organization since its inception in 1939. In July 1940, the IRS recognized the FCSBA as tax exempt under section 101(6) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1939. This non-profit status -- now known as 501(3)(c) -- remains in effect.

***CFC Update: due to increased participation fees, the FCSBA is no longer participating in the Combined Federal Campaign of the national Capital Area. Our previous CFC donor designation number for the Falls Church Scout Building Association was #38827.

Please contact the Board for information about tax-deductible donations, gifts-in-kind, corporate gifts, the Scout House endowment, and other ways to ensure that the Scout House remains viable for future generations.

SCOUT HOUSE USER GROUPS:

If your organization is interested in single, intermittent, or regular use of the Scout House facility, please contact the FCSBA Secretary. Priority is given to youth/scouting/educational/conservation groups and events, but the Board will review other potential users on a case-by-case basis.
